Our Board of Directors

Ahmed Kazalma Mantey

Mr Mantey is the Non- Executive Chairman for the Group. He was a banker before joining the Group in 1992. He has worked in the Head Office, Business Units and Divisions of A.G. Leventis Group of companies as Divisional Executive/Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Deputy General Manager (AGL) , Deputy General Manager (Leventis Motors & Technical Products), General Manager (Leventis Stores) and Executive Director ( Abuja Capital Motors Ltd ). Mr Mantey is on the board of Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd and Leventis Foundation GTE.


He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (UK) . He joined the Board of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc on December 04, 2014.





Michael  E. Economakis

Michael Economakis started his career 35 years ago, in Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCH) in Sales, holding variety of Sales Field positions in the first years of his career.  He then progressed throughout his career into ever-increasing roles of responsibility within CCH that included:

Commercial Manager, General Manager Rhodian Bottling Company, General Manager West Greece, General Manager for all mainland Greece operations of CCH.

End of 2003 he was assigned Managing Director of Tsakiris S.A., CCH’s snack food business in Greece. During next year CCH acquired a distribution company “ELXYM S.A.”, which was also assigned under his management. As of 2006 up to 2009, he was Managing Director of Pivara Skopje AD, a JV Company (CCH, Heineken), being responsible for the operations of CCH and Heineken, an area of Balkan Region. As of Q2 2009, he was assigned CEO of Nutriart S.A., a listed company, operating in the Food Sector.

In Q4 2012, he was appointed Executive Director of A.G.Leventis Group and later on within 2013 Executive Vice Chairman of the same Group.

Michael Economakis is, also, member of the Board of Directors of GNCCT (Greek – Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Technology), and member of CEO ASSOCIATION GREECE. He is, also, member of the Advisory Board of Global Thinkers Forum (GTF) an ecosystem for excellence in leadership.




Suleiman Abubakar

Mr. Suleiman Abubakar is the CEO of Imani Group of Companies. He holds an MBA from American University, Washington DC. He is a member of the   Board of Trustees of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria. He joined the Board of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc on September 13, 2012












Harry G. David

Mr. Harry G. David Graduated with a Business Degree from Providence College USA, in 1987. His career began as a certified investment advisor with Credit Suisse in New York. He then served in several executive positions within Leventis Group Companies in Nigeria and Europe. Today he is the Chairman of Frigoglass SA and holds a position on the Boards of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) PLC, the Nigerian Bottling Company, Cummins West Africa, Beta Glass (Nigeria) PLC, Ideal Group.

He is also a member of the General Council of the Greek Industries Federation (SEV), member of the board of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE), a member of the Organizing Committee of the Athens Classic Marathon and member of the TATE’s Africa Acquisitions Committee. Has also served on the boards of Alpha Finance, DEI (Hellenic Public Power Corp) and Emporiki Bank (Credit Agricole).


Kola Karim

Mr. Karim is the Group Managing Director/CEO Shoreline Energy International Ltd; a leading energy and infrastructure company in Africa. His current portfolio consists of; Construction, Commodities Trading, Agro-allied Products, Oil and Gas, Engineering and Power.

He is the Chairman of Costain West Africa Plc and Nigerian Ropes Plc. He is also a Director in seven (7) other companies including Shoreline Power Ltd, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, SchlumbergerTesting & Production Services Nigeria Limited, Trans Amadi Facilities Ltd.

Mr. Karim is a Young Global Leader (2008) Award Honoree and also a pioneer and active member of the Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals of the World Economic Forum.



Anastasios Leventis

Mr. Anastasios Leventis has worked as a Commercial and Private Banking Analyst for American Express and Credit Suisse Group.  He holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from the University of Exeter.  Anastasios is responsible for providing strategy, management and financial support to a number of operating and investment businesses internationally.








Kenny Odogwu

Mr. Kenny Odogwu is a legal practitioner and businessman. He also holds an MBA from Stern Business School, NYU, New York, USA. He joined the Board of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc on June 10, 2011. He is currently serving on the boards of some public and privately held companies.
